Some POS Filed A Chargeback On Me...What Steps Do I Take?

He purchased the shoes through eBay, and filed an unauthorized chargeback through his CC company.

His address is confirmed and he is verified. I shipped the shoes to the confirmed address with tracking and signature confirmation.

PayPal gives a couple options to respond with, one of which is by submitting the tracking number (which they automatically bring up). Is there anything else I need to do? They have a box for additional information, but I honestly don't know what else to put there. It's not as if he claims they're fakes and I have to prove otherwise. I mean, I honestly don't understand why they need anything from me for a chargeback.

All help is appreciated!

Pay him. You wont win bro. Save yourself the frustration. Internet commerce is setup to protect the buyer not the seller.

Cmon mang put his info on hur

Only reason I didn't is because the case no longer involves him. It's between me and PayPal. I just need to know if giving them just the tracking number is enough.

But for those of you that sell online, avoid dealing with:

Was it a pair of lebrons?

I don't own any Lebron's.

how much did you lose?

how much is a flight to his crib?

Transaction was for $310.

Flight will be around $350.

Yea, I shipped with tracking and signature confirmation. I just didn't understand why PayPal needed anything from me when they already had that info on file.

Anyway, thanks for the reassurance.

I know  Maurice from around that area..went to college wit him...hope its a different guy lol

dam bro that sucks.

i guess the only way to do things now is video putting da kix in a box and shipping it

this is the reason why i dont want to sell my stuff online. im willing to part with some gems too :smh:

PP is the e-devil. They're about their bottom line. They rule against you, they put your account in negative in hopes to get some money out of you through collections. They hold money for 21 days that they gain interest on illegally.

Carriers are to blame as well. They're times where packages come to me with sig confirmation and they're either sitting on the porch when I get home or missing. Especially in the summer with kids out of school I got my drivers cell phone # and tell him to leave it with my neighbor or hold at the station.

do u have a website?

also how much u charge?

Just put exactly what you did in the PayPal response form. Then cross your fingers and hope for the best.

I know it will never happen, but PayPal needs to stop letting these instant credit card purchases take place. You should have to keep a balance in your Paypal account if you want to use it. You could still insert money into the account via credit card, but that money wouldn't be directly tied to a purchase so the chargeback wouldn't affect the seller. PayPal could even make it to where any money you transfer into your account from a credit card would need confirmation first. You would get an automated call and you would need to put a PIN number in. This way PayPal could fight a money transfer chargeback too. It takes some of the convenience out, but something needs to be done.
