However...
"the cost of protecting the company's bonds against default has risen. The price on five-year credit default swaps linked to Toyota’s debt widened by about 40 basis points between Jan. 15 and Feb. 9, as the world’s biggest automaker expanded its recall in the U.S., according to data compiled by CMA DataVision."

They'll rebound, trust. You act like this is Daewoo or something
that is just public perception, the same perception that dogged japanese vehicles for such a long time. toyota and honda havent been producing anything better quality for years. the difference is negligible.Originally Posted by ChrisPhenephom

Toyota is huge and they are not going anywhere.
word ... go by a prius and take ur chances since u ITS UNFORTUNATE that people lots of people have died due to Toyota not taking this manner seriously ...Originally Posted by mr delorean

how is it that the first two sentences of your post have so little to do with the last threeOriginally Posted by JayAmazin
Typical Americans. We always think that just because it happened to someone else then it won't happent to us. We're always in that mindset as a whole. Just recently there was another report of a person's Toyota acting out of control in New York. Why are people so stubborn to the fact that Toyota has flaws in its manufacturing of vehicles? Its not as reliable as people make it out to be.

They're giving out special incentives such as 0% APR for 60 months.Originally Posted by beezylocks

Considering that Ford just outsold GM and Toyota last month, who really cares if people on NT won't give Ford a sniff. Sounds like your biased to me.Originally Posted by JayAmazin

You can't help but to sit back and here all these comments on this thread. Its obvious that most people on NT are import lovers anyway so the bias is rampant here. Ford is about to outpace Toyota in sales and it was well on pace even before the Toyota problems. Most people on here still won't give them a sniff.
And you overgeneralize way too much. Word to your Japanese taking L's thread. You are going to compare a PS3 glitch to a possible glitch on Toyota's ECUs? Where were you when the Y2K glitch occurred and some older computers failed? Did the whole world take a L for that?
