So, I want to get some type of device into school so that my train rides aren't so f'n boring, and I don't have to pay to check the #@+# in. I havebeen thinking about taping, or attaching it to my calculator, near the batteries. Would that work, and do you guys have any other tips that would work in NYCschool metal detectors?

Thanks.

stick it in your shoes. word to richard reid

.

what school do you go to in ny?

my school had a random day scanning and most of cops were being lazy and cell phones passed accidently. they decided to be nice to us and give it back to usthe same day.

back in the day, when i was in HS and we had scanning in NYC, i would ALWAYS get my cell phone thru by wedging it between my pants and my stomach, rite underthe belt buckle. This way, when it went off and they scanned me wit the wand they would jus assume it was my belt buckle.

im assuming this will work with MP3 players too.

put it in the heel of your shoes word to clint eastwood in alcatraz

i think they make you take off your belt now. if you put it in your shoes, it's still gonna beep.

best bet is put it in your bag with other metal objects close together and hope they aren't smart enough to figure it out.

you go to madison dont you!

Excuse my ignorance, but what kind of school do you have check in something like an mp3 player? and why do you have to pay to check something in? I understandmetal detectors but I would assume the people working the metal detector know what an ipod looks like and once they knew thats the only metal you have on youit'd be fine...

I do not go to madison, my school is at the lafayette campus, so thats why we have to suffer with the metal detectors

i cant put anything in my shoe, because we put our bags in the scanner, then walk thru a metal detector

ima try that calculator one tomorrow with my old razr

as for the paying, a corner store over here beats kids in their heads by charging a dollar a day to check their stuff in

as a broke !$% #$+@@, I cant justify paying 5 a week for that

just throw it in your bag with the other stuff? then take it out later, doubt they will recognize your DS/phone/ipod distinctly.

I don't even know why arguing with you but read the whole sentence. That's how sentences work you read the whole thing. Not part and then cryabout how I'd shouldn't be listened to. "I understand metal detectors but I would assume the people working the metal detector know what an ipodlooks like and once they knew thats the only metal you have on you it'd be fine..." Note the words "I assume" while now I realize thats abad assumption but an assumption nonetheless. once again, read.

well lafayette was a bad !$+ school up until a few years ago, thats when they decided to close it down, and use it to house multiple smaller schools, whichis why im there

get a wallet you dont use and put your ipod int it. When you go through the metal detector take out wour wallet with your keyys and change and put all yourstuff on top of the wallet so they cant see the ipod too well
