Cot damn, what a breakdown. Him mentioning Qui Gon's taking to Jar Jar really makes me think that he was really meant for more, just poorly done.

This is why people are pushing for Dave to get a bigger role for Disney SW. He gets IT and can take you to church. This is why he was George’s personally chosen Padawan.

Make a few more good live action shows, a live action movie, and do it fast before Disney chooses someone else in the mean time.

Don't think KK will just be around until this guy's ready. Wouldn't be surprised at all if Feige aims to take the job after this next MCU saga.

Jar Jar’s role was to further illustrate how far beyond the Jedi Qui Gon was, as well as drive home that fatherly mystique they were building around him...Qui Gon looked at Jar Jar as a being of worth while everybody else, including Obi Wan, literally viewed him as worthless...Qui Gon was killed and as such Jar Jar was basically relegated to a background character from there on...

All designed to push home the point that Anakin lost his mother, the only father he really knew, and was saddled with Obi Wan who literally took him on as an apprentice only out of his loyalty to Qui Gon...Jar Jar served his purpose...

Obviously, no one’s saying to give him the whole keys but he’s clearly a huge asset to have and to have him in the cartoon department for the last 8 years or so is just poor management of your creative resources as a company.

It’s a shame he’s gotten that long to get a shot like this whole we’ve gotten what we’ve gotten since 2012 but all that’s water under the bridge. The original intention of me sharing the tweet was just to show how tuned in he is with the mythology and not just another Director who’s a “Lifelong Star Wars fan” that they always mention when announcing a new director.

Nah man, Jar Jar was the intended Phantom Menace, original apprentice to Sidious while Maul was simply a stand-in. As well as Dooku but he was gonna turn on Sidious to become a Sith Lord himself and hijack Palpatine's plans once he became a gunman representative in Courscant.

The signs were all there.

Jar Jar is better to be a background character then a sith lord that trains anakin pulling the real strings. Jedi can't see whats right under their noses. their temple on corusant is above sith burial landmarks. they were doomed from the start

Finally watched Solo. It was alright and cool to see the origin of things.

Was it great? No. But I was entertained.

All the SW news that broke over the weekend got me hyped for S2 of Mandolorian!
