I swear I see more suckouts then anyone else. In the past 2 days alone.

Nothing is worse than making a great call post flop.. and getting sucked out...

Yesterday I have QQ heads up... raise preflop... flop is like 2,7,9 so I bet... he reraises me... I push all in.. he calls me with 10/7... River is a 10

I have AK. I raise 4 times the Big Blind... guy re raises... he ends up having AQ... hitting his Q.. who reraises with AQ?

AA's vs QQ's, Q hits...

I can go on and on... I mean I know it happens... but the frequency its happening at...

Oh and don't even get me started on the people calling all in's with gut shots... when I flop a set .... then hit their gut shot...

Ha yes online poker......

IMO AQ is something you call with if someone already raised 4 times the big blind..

What do i know though

And playing sit and go's ranging from 20 to 30 dollar buy ins

I agree but this, like with most anything in poker, depends on the given situation and how that player is or how long you've been @ the table.

With $20-$30 buy ins, it's no wonder your getting re-raised.
If you want a serious poker game, you need to put in stakes where people are afraid to lose.

I used to play with friends with a $20 unlimited buy in.
It was the worst poker games ever, no point in bluffing because no one was scared to fold.
There are 2-3 people that played almost all their hands because they know they can buy in right away.
No strategy could be played and chances are they will catch what they are looking for eventually.

There are fishes at EVERY LEVEL

The term fish is so overrated, I mean. If you have AK and you raise preflop, YOUR ESSENTIALLY FISHING FOR An ACE OR A KING TO FLOP.

a friend of mine once described most of these occurances as someone like a-rod getting a hit in a game. think of it like that and its not that bad.

wow. Your lingo just flew right over the top of my head. Crazy. How long do you normally play online for(I don't play any sort of poker, just curious.)

This is why I don't play online. I feel better about suckouts if I can look the person in the eyes after the suckout and make them see my pain.

I've played at the Casino several times... always succesful... very rarely do I see suckouts.

I dont even mind so much when someone makes a decent call.... but when someone makes a completely ******ed call... its like WHAT WERE YOU THINKING

Or when I make a tough call...and it ends up being the right one.... and then I get sucked out on

AK v AQ is a 70% favored over 30%

Alex Rodgriguesz is a ~.300 career batting average. Everytime Alex Rodgriguez gets a hit, AQ beats AK

This is too EFFING much... I get KK 4 people call small blind before me.. I raise like 6 times big blind... some guy goes over the top...
I push all in... he calls and flips over Q8

Mind you this is early tournament, and this is for all his chips.

And what does the bastard flop?? 88Q....

What a joke

why do people not understand that bad beats or gonna happen

it happens much more often online because you see much more hands than you would playing a live game

people always wanna talk about the bad beats that they get but always seem to forget the bad beats they put on other people

But come on now.... please tell me how in the hell someone would CALL an all in for all your chips.. when you are still very much in a tourney... with Q8...thats a HORRIBLE call... and it gets rewarded...

shoulda known he was gonna hit it..
lol jp...

what stakes were you playing btw?

maybe dude was on tilt or didn't really care

and I bet you are playing in a tourny under 50 dollar because fish like that are much harder to find than at the low stakes

and bottom line it is all about making the right decision regardless if you win the pot or not

you made the right decision and you lost, it happens

30 dollar sit and go.

I mean if he had AK and his an A... or AA, QQ, JJ, or maybe even 10's .. calls and hits a Set... yeah that happens....

But HOW do you call with Q8 offsuit... hell how do you call that with Q8 Suited

Your logic is so flawed...

If you are playing poker at all for more than 5 dollars... you should be smart enough to know thats an awful call.....

I'm pretty sure when I first started playing poker I would have folded Q8 in a heart beat if I trade to make a move and someone pushed all in...
