Suede protector on black-based Js: Does it work?

I was wondering if suede protector on black-based jordans work or if it is advisable to use it at all.

It depends on the material since some Js are nubuck, some are suede, and some are just leather. I have some nubuck/suede Js and I treated them and haven'thad a problem. Just know for certain which material it is and use a decent product. If you play ball in them they'll still catch hell though.
 
i use the champs suede cleaner on my aqua's and it keeps them looking like brand new
 
as long as you get the right protector for that EXACT material, you'll be fine.
