After watching the prologue again the power/gimmic makes sense

it’s rewinding the scene of past events around you. In the opera house the guy was held at gunpoint. Earlier JDW noticed the bullet hole in the ground and rewinds the scene around them, making the bullet reverse course from the ground into the guy and then back into the gun of the previous guy who shot it.
Same thing with the last scene in the trailer. It’s rewinding the guy who shot the glass
