that escalated quickly....vol..applebees

That's terrible policing... When he was iso'd in the bathroom, they should've had him put his hands up, cuffed him, & then frisked him. It most likely would've prevented the shooting. These officers need to be reprimanded severely if not fired.

Edit - I sent this to my inlaw who was a long time Bmore police office whose last titles included headed vice, district commander, police academy commandant, & later chief of police at Coppin St... He agreed that these officers handled the situation incorrectly & if it were up to him, they would be fired depending on past performance.

Ummm no.

Wasn't he just ACCUSED of tryna sneak a 6 pack out of a Walmart.

No reason to put him under arrest right then and there.

That's the issue with police.

Unnecessary aggression.

They probably could of did a little better job of escorting him out but it just seemed like a very rare and unfortunate situation.

THUG
got what he deserved
Don't pull out a gun on a cop and think it's ok
That guy was as big as the hulk

The lack of empathy in this thread concerns me.

It always saddens me to see this regardless :frown:

Ignorant thug definitely got we he deserved. We need to question his parents, if he was raised right this never would've happened. How come he didn't just use his welfare check to buy beer?

I disagree, there is no hearsay with this sitiuation, theres a video. the man pulled a gun on 2 officers. Cops get a lot of criticism (rightfully so...I am very outspoken of my criticism of police) but this isnt an instant where the police played judge, jury and executioner. This man pulled a gun (air soft or not, looks like a gun) during a situation that caused the police to fear for their lives. There's no mistake here, there is no abuse of power...the guy put himself in a situation where the cops had to shoot him, he essentially killed himself.
