Why not just trade Crabtree for a random draft pick? Does the salary cap somehow get affected/not affected when cutting vs trading?

 

Teams aren't going to trade for Crab if they know he's getting cut.

But yeah, you'd think his contract is worth at least a 7th round pick but I guess not.

 

Wonder if they'll look at eric Reid

Crab doesn't even warm-up with the Raider WRs and Carr before he games. He's too busy doing his own thing.

No team is going to trade when they know a team is going to cut them. Unless a team wants to keep that contract in tact and not over pay via Free Agency.

That's a lot invested and we haven't even hit the draft yet.

 

Welp, it was a good run wit Crab. He was clutch. Hopefully Jordy feels those shoes.

 

Crabtree saw the writing on the wall the same way he saw the writing on the wall in San Francisco. Last season was completely mismanaged offensively and there were too many weapons to have the results we had.

 

Crabtree was the most consistent receiver last year, so sucks to see him go.
