The Raiders are giving Jordy Crabtree's contract? Perhaps they are expecting Amari and Patterson to develop more?

2012 seems like a long time ago and yet the results still feel somewhat the same lol. Dennis Allen was just lmao.

Same thing I said in the NFL thread:

    What a stupid tweet.

I'm not trynna defend every move the Raiders make but what vets are they loading up with?

I get hating Carr is the thing to do, but literally the only players 30 or over on the ENTIRE roster are:
    Donald Penn
    Bruce Irvin
    Marshawn Lynch
    Jared Cook
    Jordy Nelson

that's it. Only 1 of these players weren't on the team last year. Doug Martin is 29 and signed to a 1 year prove it deal so he doesn't even count.

Nobody thinks the raiders have a super bowl roster. All they are doing is signing short term contracts with no real money committed. This is a 100000x better than overpaying for washed players like they used to.

Make fun of the Raiders for signing Gruden, for signing FBs/TEs, for signing Doug Martin, but loading up on vets for a Super Bowl run?

Must be two offseasons because I don't see it.

I remember reading the Raiders gave Bowman a standing offer and he's just shopping around for a better deal.

Reggie nickel and dime Bowman, but had enough money to sign 2 TE and extra fullback. Job well done.

I liked Crab. He was our most consistent WR in a while. I hate to see him go, but if Jordy is a better locker room guy, and replicates his play from Green Bay, then just win baby.

Obi might be moving to CB. With all these moves I still have no idea how the draft plays out.

I don't generally like saying this but it's true -- people love personality + talent + demeanor + consistency + perception -- and if there is a break in communication or the slightest pattern of a break in character or perception in regards to camaraderie people aren't ****ing with you. Period. It sucks that Crabtree's character was bashed late in the season and Gannon's notes painted this picture of a me guy and not a team guy.

Let's just be objective about it.

He's the most skilled, most productive and most consistent WR we've had since Tim Brown.

Media won't attach that to his legacy though.

    * I realize I could be overlooking Randy with the most skilled attribute, but if a tree never falls in the woods, does it even make a sound? **** that dude when wearing our colors.

I feel you. Crab was a great WR for us and I'm very appreciative of his production, but he was a me guy in college, he was a me guy in SF. He wasn't a me guy here cuz his career was in the gutter when he signed but eventually his true colors came out. It is what it is, his behavior isn't shocking and I don't think it's some media trying to make him look bad ****. He just really is a diva.

I appreciate everything he did and he's probably one of the best players we've had in the post Gannon era. I'll definitely be rooting for him wherever he goes, but I'm not losing sleep over him no longer being a raider.
