Damn , I started watching when he was coming out of high school
Nate Oats prob wants a redo on his coaching change now
Why did Fred Hoiberg take such a bad job ?
He’s from Lincoln lol
Sixers job is the only thing I see Jay Wright leaving for.
He'd have his hand out for the UNC or KU job
I know jay Wright is a pipe dream. I just like his coaching style.
Also not crazy about Juwan Howard.
Lol Jay Wright to WHO!?
Why would Jay Wright ever wanna leave for UNC?
Maybe Billy D gets fired and they luck up.
Tough hire this late. Wouldn’t surprise me if they promoted someone on staff for the season
Derryck Thornton transferring from USC. Wonder if his family and handler thinks he wasn’t utilized correctly there as well....
It's Michigan. They won't have any trouble even with it being late, IMO.
@dacomeup ; Didn't you do Post grad work at Michigan ?
Assume he went to Ross?
You think? Who is even realistic? You're going from Beilein, who was definitely a Top-10 coach the last 5-10 years. Its almost a certainty that whoever they hire will be a downgrade.
Wait. What? Lmaoo
Yea, I'm not saying that they'll hire a guy on Beilein's level, but with the resources, recent success, and history of the program, they're not about to have a UCLA-like coaching search.
I guess we'll see. I just don't see them poaching any "big" names, so they'll have to either hire from within or go with someone who is currently "up and coming". Add in the awkward timing, and its even more difficult. Hard to keep pace with their current recruiting targets, with everything currently in limbo. Mike White has been mentioned, and Juwan Howard (No college coaching experience, can he recruit? Does he know X's and O's?).
Stevens? As in Brad stevens?
Throw the entire list away and just start over.
No disrespect to Michigan, but pundits acting like this is DUKE
@turbospartan I mean, the guy was probably a top 5 college coach. Is he really going out on a limb by saying that the next coach will likely be worse? I agree that the top list of guys likely says no. Not sure if it's a failure or disappointment if they do, though.
The question is, is Michigan a top 5/10 program right now?
I mean, maybe.
You're the one that said "They won't have any trouble even with it being late."
Maybe I misunderstood what you were trying to say with that comment.
Please take Ed Cooley or Mike White . They can recruit at a high level at Michigan
