I hope he does well on the show

Jon Stewart has set himself up to be irreplaceable though...

If you're familiar with his work, this is actually a great choice for a successor.

I was thinking the same thing. I truly don't see anyone successfully filling his shoes. But that's just because JS was that great. I wish the new guy nothing but success though. :pimp:

That's how I feel. I caught one standup special and it was just a few too many race jokes. It got stale.

Some parts I truly laughed at though. He was recruited by Stewart too (so I'll trust his judgement)

and he's definitely intelligent enough (KKK joke).

    Anybody checking him out today?

I watched his standups on Netflix and he's funny to me. Not that energetic, tho, but I think he'll be fine.

    I have faith

Jon Stewart wasn't that good before he got to the Daily Show, and wasn't that good for a couple years when he started

I will give Trevor a chance

    Looking forward to this.

I miss Colbert though. Not late night Colbert, Comedy Central Colbert.

I hope this is one of those cases in which I can be like i watched this from the beginning and got to witness it's awesomeness from beginning to end.

I am a bit worried about the kind of vibe he may bring to the show tho. He seems a bit mellow.

Comedy Central has a solid track record and I'm sure Stewart also saw the potential in Trevor.

Here's to hoping he starts strong.

Maybe Jon and Colbert can do a couple of guest appearances to help get old fans to give him a chance.

I'm surprised how much I enjoyed Trevor's debut.

I think this is a position you have to kind of grow into. Things got really good once Jon was comfortable enough to just take over the show and play with the audience seemingly off script at times.

Haven't watched the first episode, but I have liked what I've seen from him. Lot of potential for this to end up being great.
