The definition of "factory variant"

Are they defects? Or designs just made up by factory workers? Thanks.

Factory seconds or "b grades" are different. They are just shoes with a small defect (e.g., loose stitching, crooked seam, etc.), but they aren't fake.

Factory variants = fake, unauthorized, illegal, poorly made replications of Nike, Jordan, Reebok, etc...... products.

b grades & factory seconds = Kicks that you get at outlets. You will see a mark stating the the product is a factory second/b-grade on the box and/or on the product. B grades are authentic products with a minor flaw or defect ie color stain, scratch, visible glue residue, etc....
