I've been looking for a fishing thread on NT. Nice to see people get out on the water. a lot of nice fish have been posted in the last few pages.

Caught this rainbow Saturday. Prob 18 or 19 inches. Always fun to hook into a nice one with an ultralight rod

Lures , but lately my confidence and go to is the Ned rig , I like the zman Trd tube the most. I use any jig head size between 1/16-1/4 wire keeper is best if the jig heads have it

Lately been lazy and just throwing the fish on the grill after gutting it .. burns the outside but eat the fish meat with a pepper mix

The one decent fish I ever caught was a nice European eel when I was 10 or so.
We made some good "Paling In 't Groen" (Eel in the green) with it, a Belgian national dish I'd highly recommend trying out if you have some eel to cook with.

Fishing is something I'd like to get back into but there's so few good spots in the area nowadays, and I need a new license. Even all those years ago you had to travel pretty far just to get a chance of catching something of decent size and/or edible.
I suppose our Pikes are edible but they're not exactly tasty. Huge pain in the *** to fillet as well.

took my boy this morning. my friend didn’t have much bait so it was either i fish or let my son fish. ended up having my son bring his pole and he caught 2.

finally got to go this year without my son so i actually got to fish. my friend and i threw back a bunch and kept a couple. i took a huge strike and cut line. highlight of my day lol
