Almeida vs sergi gonna be one interesting stylistic matchup in the future

Considering how Curtis fought in his last fight I have 0 faith left in him.

The Blaydes fight should really tell us more about Almeida and if he's ready to contend with the top HWs or is just a pretender. His last fight against Rozenstruik didn't really give us much.

That’s a good fight for Almeida. A real test. Curtis got that wrestling and doesn’t have to risk more CTE.

Isn’t it crazy when you start sliding a lil and they decide you’re a gate keeper for up and comers.

🔥

Good bounce back fight for both without having to worry about Merab or take downs. They’re both slow starters but probably favor Yan more. But obviously Chito got hella KO ability.

espn sportscenter barely ever mentions ufc even when there's an upcoming title fight but they had an ultimate fighter segment because mcracist is a coach.

Big money. Helps drive viewers to their app or station.

Heard Chandler was upset they edited that one scene where Conor says you’ll do what you’re told.

A lotta people think the season should focus on the stars versus vets or prospects (and same tired formula).

A lot of name dropping tonight

For the entire month of June there's only 2 UFC fights that are remotely good/intriguing to me:

Olivera Benny next week = great
Emmett Topuria 6/24 = great
Everything else = trash

Bellator has one good card on 6/16

Sucky month for the sport

289 is a horrendous card and looks like a damn fight night. Though the UFC rarely goes to Canada anymore and they know they'll get a good gate because of it.

The Emmett-Topuria card is actually decent though with Allen-Silva and Robocop on the main card. Magny is on the prelims and Tatsuro Taira who appears to be first fight of the night, he looks to be one to watch moving forward.

Unless Alex is getting paid a bag for this or he’s just really really nice, there’s no point in training with Strickland lol

Surprised Poatan doesn't just learn English from someone in his current camp as it seems there'd be guys more than capable and other than learning some weird theories from Sean not sure what he has to gain training with him.

Hate to be negative but 1-6 and 5 of last 6 losses by KO… The other was his leg snapping… 38 years old is not ideal to climb that ladder… I just don’t see any upside besides a payday.
Agreed but Chris seems to be determined to not let that last fight be his last and prove he can still win a couple more fights before he calls it a day. Just like with Anderson after the 2nd Weidman fight he was largely never the same, save for that near K.O. he had of Bisping, but didn't want an injury to be the lasting impression people had of his career. Id say Weidman fights 3-4 more times max then calls it a career. Could see him doing media and/or coaching with Serra and Longo.
