The MMA Thread: DON'T ASK 4 STREAMS & NO GIFS- UFC 301 in Brazil- Pantoja/Aldo etc. SAT 5/4

Just watching the embeddeds I know bjj can overcome but the difference between Maia and woodley is hilarious

Maia literally looks like a slow old man who's in decent shape while woodley looks like a comic book character. The contrast is amazing and interesting

Jones was really using the viagra excuse in the media call again. It's funny, on the roids, most need viagra, besides the blockers, because you have a noodle.
Really want and hope this guy gets his.

think woodley finishes him. probably will play it safe for the first couple rds and not do much but once he engages and lands, it's good night for maia

DC straight snitched on himself about the whole towel thing..

Jon rightfully calls him the 206.2lb UFC champ.. haha

them pills aint no joke. got me elevated af

DC seems so focused
he's an all-timer if he can finish JJ

if JJ wins what are chances we really could see that Brock fight?
As long as Brock clears USADA, high. UFC prolly do some shady things to get him to pass just like last time too

They have zero money fights lined up

Hell this DC/Bones match doesn't seem like it's a "special" event, at least the vibe I get from the build up tbh

Mainstream will care, it'll sell like crazy

As an mma purist I would like to see it too. Dude is definitely a good look for the UFC because all the UFC cares about is money. As far as mma, of course a large component is martial arts but honestly a big appeal to me is seeing a genetic freak like Brock take on "true martial artists". See what would happen

BEYOND glad JBJ denied Luke Thomas today. Can't stand that dude. He's so negative about everything in MMA

I think this is Maia worst match up. Woodley is no slouch on the ground. I understand there's levels to BJJ but this is MMA. I don't see how Maia can close the distance without getting hurt. And I also don't see how Maia can keep Woodley on the ground if he gets him there.

Easy work for T-Wood and da culture

dana and ufc too busy pimping out conor for his "match"

as for brock, he isn't a true MMA guy especially how the sport has evolved. a true throwback, ground and pound type wrestler. jones better worry about DC. hell, even with a loss, you'd still probably see jones/brock. unless they cain wants to run it back, but i assume he gets the next title shot?

Luke Thomas is negative about everything MMA? Damn, I felt like he is overly positive about stuff lol

Jones definitely has something out for dude. I don't really like Luke anyway

Eh, maybe I haven't listened to him enough or it's his whiny voice. Dude is always complaining on the MMA Beat

Luke's solo show is so dull. I listen to it just cuz. He's always going off on tangents that don't matter. But overall I feel he's pretty positive on stuff, his voice just very monotone
