The first 13 min of yesterday's game was a total display of embarrassment. That first quarter could have easily been 50-9 by the end of it. Luckily Boston is a team that jacks up a lot of 3's (in which they bricked a lot of those in that 1st qtr).

wade back tomorrow, most likely on a minutes restriction....rondo probably out. hopefully grant and niko keep up the solid play.

 

niko and rondo have been the second and third best players on the team recently, both have been DNP-CD for significant stretches of the season. grant has played well enough to earn minutes all season, yet gets buried on the bench behind a guy like mcw who shouldn't be on the team next year. same goes portis.

hoiberg has failed at both developing players and racking up wins (or at least putting out a lineup that best serves that purpose).

if he's not doing one, he has to be doing the other. the fact that he's doing neither makes him a compete and utter failure.

 

Hoidberg prefers the fairer skin players.

 

Add blowing a late lead and the game to the Nets to that...

 

I really don't know what to expect. I'm at least hoping that they make this series competitive. If they just lay down and get steam rolled...

 

yeah you really dont know but this is pretty much our most favorable matchup given our circumstances.

kinda excited to see playoff wade and playoff rondo (against the celts too) as well as the tightened rotation. have a feeling jimmy is just gonna explode. niko and everybody else just needs to contribute and not be net negative.

matchup to watch is actually hoiberg vs stevens.

 

Well, that game was exciting! Going to take a good team effort to win the series. Portis stepped up!

butler - let the game come to him in the first 2 and a half quarters....laid in the weeds and went beast mode in the 2nd half
portis - big shot bobby....showed good hustle and played some solid defense
lopez - crashed the offensive boards and kept the bulls in the game early on

bad
zipser - celts didnt bother guarding him...with good reason because he wasnt making them pay
felecio - did he play?
grant - was relied on when rondo got pulled. stayed active, but other than the big 3 at the end, his shot was off all game

ugly
mirotic - dude better wake the hell up....on both ends of the floor
refs - like....what?

rondo was decent, hope he keeps it up or steps it up even more....and we'll hafta postpone the playoff wade coming out party. gettin hung by the rim was cringeworthy.
