Who says no? I’m actually looking for some extra draft compensation from the Wiz w/ this scenario. They could easily watch KP go for nothing; just the same as Dallas did with Brunson.

Portland gotta do something for Dame. Find a defensive anchor type for the 4 spot and go back to the playoffs. That’s a dynamic backcourt for Portland to get behind. Dame, Beal & Nurk their big 3? Could do worse.

Wiz the definition of middling. Cut the ties to these vets getting them nowhere but capped out and do a real makeover. The trade essentially gives them a new starting rotation sans a center.

Well Grant is an UFA this summer. They could lose him for nothing.

You gotta give to get, so Grant aside, is it really an overpay seeing Simons exchanged for Beal? Sharpe is nowhere ready to contribute to winning.

Again, Pdx owes it to Dame to try and put together a team ready to compete for the playoffs. Evan is no scrub neither despite the fact he’s been DPCDed for a while now.

Idk, Portland might be better off entertaining this rather than wave goodbye to Jerami for nothing in return. Simons and Sharpe aren’t ready.

NY is a destination spot for many FAs right about now. Portland don’t stand a chance at getting help in that arena. Their hands seemingly tied unless they surprisingly decide to deal Dame to the highest bidder and begin a real rebuild.
