THE OFFICIAL 2024 - 2025 DALLAS COWBOYS SEASON THREAD || MEH

Not sure how this 4-3 def is gonna work honestly :rolleyes
it has its flaws but monty is the originator of the tampa 2, and he had a high level of success with it...so im optomistic...

plus it really helps ratliff out...no more double teams, full steam ahed..

it helps dware/spence out so they wont drop in coverage EVER again...which lets do do what they do best...

it opens up lanes for sean lee/bruce carter to fly to the ball...and we all know theyre both very skilled cover guys...lee especially excels in zone reads..

only thing were missing is a ball hawk safety to play the deep half...

im all for it man...i think our defense is gonna be NASTY...and its easier to pull guys off the street in a 4-3 when the injuires start piling up..which is inevitable with us it seems...

And that's what I'm really worried about our damn Safeties, it's never been a issue with our front 7

Imagine if we kept Sensabaugh and shuffled some other contracts to find that 1.5M? they saved cutting him, and going into camp with Sense, Will Allen, Barry Church, and Matt Johnson competing for the starting jobs.

I'm not sure how I feel with Ware being an every down rusher. remember, ware is gonna be a dline man every down and won't be standing up. most of Ware's ability to get to the QB has to do with his technique, which comes from his 3-4 stance. not saying it wont work but he'll definitely have to put on some pounds.

Romo's deal is really only 3 years, don;t get caught up in the numbers ESPN flashes at the bottom of the screen.

We fix the o-line we're good money. Thats all there is to it. we can't be dead last in rushing yards and rushing yards per attempt again. Romo is not Aaron Rodgers, he cant do it all by himself. And we need our defense to create takeaways.

P.S. I hate Jerry :lol

Im optimistic about the 4-3... Monty has had a lot of success with it in the past, so I have a positive view on it going into the season. The safety issue does scare me though 8o

As far as Romo's contract, I still have confidence in him... There's time's when it's his fault, there's times when the blame is undeserving & falls on him, & there's times where he comes up big & leads this team. He does need to be more consistent, but so does the rest of the team. Even though it's a lot of money, I still believe Romo could lead the Cowboys.

Agreed.

Romo Got Paid, But Over Flacco? Really Undeserving.

4-3 Is something new, and hope our LB's can flourish with it. We need a ball hawk safety, or at least safety that can play the ball. Vick/RG/Eli bomb it on us like its nobodys business.

If this team shorts itself playoffs again, I want Garrett Gone... He dodged a bullet this year.. To Predictable man.

Finally A Bye after week 10.

I can see us getting 8-10 wins this year... Maybe I'm reaching but.. Anxious to see this 4-3.

We got a good amount of winnable games during the first half of the season... Im hoping we can win the games that we "should" win, as opposed to us blowing winnable gmaes early last season. The schedule after our bye is looking pretty rough though.

Im glad we finally have a late bye this season too

Glad we got a rematch against CHI on MNF.

Murray stays healthy. Plus that week 11 Bye is GONNA BENEFIT US HUGE. for any key injuries we suffer.

i need to go to a game this year.
I say the same thing at the beginning of every year since Jerry's world was built, then they start looking like trash half way into the season and I feel they no longer deserve my paper.

This whole Monte for Ryan thing was an extremely bold move, homie is old as hell and I don't think the 4-3 attributes to our best players on defense strengths, time will tell but as for now I'm not sold.

If 2K13 didn't come out at midnight after that MNF game something would have been broken after that game.. I was furious.

Same thing I was thinking whole post Repped.

I'll be on leave on thanksgiving and the 3 games after that.

Might Spoil myself, and get tickets for the GB @ Dallas Game.

Anyone in the area looking to hit up Ford Field for the Lions game (and know how easy/hard it is to score tickets)? Might drive down with a buddy, about 3.5hrs from Toronto.

Def too many winnable games last year, spent the back-end of the season trying to play catch up (plus injuries didn't help either)
