we have a new "well if _____ got in" player

VC got in off basically being the best at one particular skill in basketball. Brazy.

NBA HOF standards are what they are, Chauncey was the best offensive player on a championship winning team.
If you do that and have a good career, you'll get into the hall of fame. it is what it is.

Vince never won a ring, but was incredibly famous, and built basketball in Canada.
if the HOF is a museum, I think Vince should prob be in there.

Vince deserves it just based on his 200 Dunk Contest domination and the Weiss Olympic dunk.

His resume leaves more to be wanted but as silly as it sounds his dunking resume gets him a nod. People still view VC as the greatest dunker ever, his dunk contest performance gets mentioned every year. Plus dude played 22 years? As someone mentooned too, brought attention to Toronto and Canada in general while he was a Raptor.

But yeah why shoudnt the greatest and most influential dunker ever not be in the HoF?

It’s the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame not just the NBA Hall of Fame. You get credit for your entire career. Vince has an Olympic Gold and a FIBA Tournament of the Americas Gold. Chauncey has a finals MVP, FIBA World Tournament Gold and other accomplishments outside of the NBA.

Half man, half amazing was must see tv coming out of NC. If your team sucked and was unbearable to watch in the early 2000s, Vince’s in game dunks were enough reason to follow the league.

Vince is a no brainer. He stuck around long enough to be very likeable again.

I dont know how long KD has to stay to be liked
