With Adidas and UA on the rise, NIKE can't afford to screw this up.

Yes they can. Those companies are relying on 2 types of shoes to thrive.
Nike sells more retro sneakers than Adidas and UA sells of their premier products.

Adidas and UA are no threat to Nike. Nike has so many sneakers in their catalog that if they do "slip" they can retro and smash them both. Shoes cost next to nothing to make. Nike can simply retro sneakers at their original prices if they choose to and crush both companies. Drop Air Mags at a decent price. Nike is competing with itself really. They haven't even retroed LeBrons yet.

Exactly, nike has been slipping but they still own 75% of the american market. They have successfully monopolized the sportswear industry by consistently getting amazing athletes. If jordan and lebron went to adidas as they originally were this would truly be a whole different ball game

Nike was based on performance wear. Retros are great but they largely produce retros with poor quality, materials, etc. if they continue that people will leave because other companies produce better retros. These need to be good to spark that interest again. Lebron winning it all last year will definitely help the 14s.

    Rip Nike.....
    Adidas has official won

adidas basketball is making better performance shoes,
Better looking shoes, and better priced shoes.

And to make matters worst the Lebron design and KD design look like Nike is stilling from Adidas.

I bet this adidas shoes are they prototype for the Lebron 14

Not for long they can't. Worst performing stock last year on the DOW. Prices are ridiculous, even still, for the quality (or lack thereof). "Hyper Elite" basketball shorts cost like $70? FOH with that haha.

Bruh you are misinformed, I'm not stating my opinion off of what people are wearing at my local gym. I am going off stats. Adidas basketball shoes are the majority brand for highschool/college basketball teams that are not sponsored. I see this trend continuing because Adidas has been on the incline and Nike has been on the decline. This all started in 2014 when Nike's top 3 basketball designers left for adidas.

You may not like it but the crazylight boost 16/ Rose 7/ crazy explosives/ harden 1 are going to be in the top 5 of every basketball performance blog when 2017 arrives.

    Just sit back and watch.

I could be wrong but weren't the 3 employees you speak of in the NSW and soccer division. I don't think they did performance basketball recently or at all when at Nike.
