I got a mac about 1.5 years ago.  I like it, but it's lack of ability (blackbook $1499) amazes me.  I run photoshop on here and it acts like its having a heart attack

True, but less likely than on Windows.  One of my friends (computer nerd) has had no anti-virus or anything on VISTA and has had no viruses, malware, or anything like that.  It is just how safe you are.  For me, I love Mac OSX.  I do not believe I will buy another windows based machine.

being bored with an OS is kind of a stupid reason to drop a grand but its ur money...

Na i have alot of reasons, recently i have been unlucky wit my pcs and i been gettin viruses. Dont get me wrong i kno my way around a computer its just these viruses, spyware, malware gets annoying. I kno a mac can still get viruses but it will be less common. I use itunes ALL the time and I have a iphone, and i just like the feel and the OS mac runs on. I am a student but the macbook pro aluminum and light up keyboard is attractive lol, call me stupid. I kno its like $200 more but money is not an issue.

$200 more? lol nah try like double... but anyway... that virus stuff is just people not knowin what theyre doing... back in the day u could get away without havin anti virus... now u need only THE BEST... any free anti virus that came wit ur comp or ISP is gonna suck... ESET NOD 32 or Kaspersky....

im talkin about the macbook 15" and the macbook pro 15" , the difference is like 200-300
