Anyone think it's possible to be "over-aggressive" in seeking a promotion?

Like I stated before a few pages back, I was promoted(and I guess passed over) for a certain position at work. My old manager told me whenever the new manager arrives to state my wish of seeking a management position. There's really no guarantee that I'll even get it, but there's currently 3 openings at other locations in my area. I applied to all and want to let him know first chance I get. At the same time, I just got the promotion/pay increase and I guess I'm needed(don't want to alienate anyone or the situation), they're just waiting to hire staff to fill in positions.

Any thoughts?

I think you’re good still, makes you look like a “go-getter” especially when they know you’re are hard worker AND have experience. Employers will take that into consideration.
