No problem, wasn't for you.. but for people who wanted to discuss anime, there's an active thread for it.

And TAN was locked because people can't follow simple rules... it's pretty funny 

yeah- i guess we "cant follow simple rules", and the reason is pretty simple: the rules are applied poorly here. Just because somebody says theyre listening to a song and *insertsomethinghere * doesnt mean theyre trying to discuss the music, just because i said i was watching the game and drinking some beer did not mean i was trying to discuss sports (and i had no intention or need to). Sure, there may be a comment or 2, maybe even 5-7, but thats obviously not the point of TAN anyways. Show me where any one topic that "broke the rules" lasted more than a page or 2 (topics aren't even threadworthy if they only make it 2 pages before the topic switches anyway). Thats why some of general sucks, people make threads and the actual topic never gets discussed, and it becomes an unrelated debate on a few subjects that cant handle their own thread anyways. So actually, TAN should be bigger and more open. If somebody really wants to go into a discussion about sports or music, theyll go to those sections. But if you mention something or somebody comments on 1 damn thing that also has a thread along with a bunch of unrelated random thoughts- its that big of a problem....... pretty ridiculous.

Talking about sports or music is against the rules.

Saying you're watching X sports game or listening to Y song is against the rules.

That's  where people can't follow simple rules comes in. It's really not that hard. Sure, it might be harmless and it might not seem like a big deal. But why mention something you know can't be talked about? That's what it comes down to.

And 

 @ "the rules are applied poorly" How many times has Meth broken it down? How many times have people reminded each other of the rules? Hell I've done it half a dozen times I know that much. The rules aren't applied poorly, the reasons for the strictness is because people went off the deep end talking about sports and music and sneakers. It's really simple, we don't talk about sports, music, shoes, things that have their own thread, report those who abuse it, and the thread will keep on going.
