Don't go down that rabbit hole man. Buy whatever is in your budget and be satisfied. What kind of TV do you have now? My family went with a mid-tier Samsung and it's great. Coming from an older 1080p model I thought the difference was pretty big.
Those LG OLEDs do look amazing though

Since we moved, I ended up selling my 55" Samsung to @mjbetch So we're currently using an old 32" Sony TV.
Just trying to decide if I should go with a 50" or 55". I was at Costco my entire lunch break, just staring at the LG. Dangit!
