I never minded going to blockbuster.

I had one 5 minutes from me.

Back when blockbuster was on the ropes they offered unlimited rentals if you paid 30 dollars monthly or something like that. I was going to blockbuster every day and it was fun.

Wutless f*ck... Trying to pass a law that doesn't benefit anybody but the obvious...

Concert ended.
It was amazing!!!!
Don't know why they served alcohol though.
Some people were pretty drunk and the more mellow songs by Beethoven would have them all ansié

I don’t even think of Supreme as a brand anymore. It’s more like a hypebeast virus that slowly infects everything: Chopsticks, mini bikes, crowbars,...bricks...f’in bricks

they got to be trolling with a lot of that stuff, I mean a ******* workout mat?

Finance and design right?

You'll get there bro

The $$$ I make as a 26yo in finance is downright embarrassing.
I'm getting passed over for nepotism employees at work.
The perks and recognition don't mean s--t to me if it doesn't lead to a promotion + more $$$.

Y'all know that Avengers scene with Bruce Banner saying "that's my secret: I'm always angry"
Exactly how I feel inside everyday

Damn bro. Maybe you can find a job somewhere where they don't practice nepotism? That sucks.

I hate when ppl are in management when they shouldn't be.

There are instances of racism I low-key notice too
I'm the only young Asian/minority dude at my company
One example is this high-ranking 30yo white dude who talked all "urban / hood" only to me
Just because I listen to hipster / trap music and go to rowdy concerts doesn't mean s--t
I called him out on it and he was surprised because he didn't expect me to let the choppa sing on his Southern fratboy self

I have to restrain myself because I'm generally pretty quiet at work -- it's a job and I'm getting paid to work, not to be booty buddies with everyone
When someone acts out of line with me, I hit them with that ether and they wanna act like hurt victims, so people get the wrong impression

Thats why I dont talk with people that I'm not cool with at my job. I put in my two cents on something when I feel like it. An i peep. Like how I noticed the underlying tone my boss gave me the other night. Its nothing but politics my G thats why i only go there to collect my paycheck and go. Word to Amel

I have some people I trust at work and if I happen to see them we'll conversate but I don't really go out of my way to socialize with them

There are cliques at my job. There are the asian ppl, and then there are the black ppl, and even though I'm asian I don't belong in either clique to be honest.

I'm probably known as the loner at my job

I think some ppl think of that as rude but the ppl who know me keep it moving when they don't see me and we can talk like we talk everyday when we do

^^ Facts, my guy. Looks like Amellyville has the right idea.

I can't avoid that dude I mentioned because he's in the same executive committee I'm in (we plan work events, parties, etc.).

But other coworkers told me that I was too quiet my first year on the job, so they didn't know my personality, how to act around me
I had to open up and play politics a bit, but seems like I'm not playing on their level

Work is all political. I think my strategy works best. I'm friendly if I see ppl but I don't go out of my way to socialize, and I never try to fight with anyone. No one knows me but no one dislikes me either.

Slighted, it sounds like you got to socialize to move up the ladder so you know what to do

whip it out

But in all seriousness, you don't need to do that much talking. I read a book about socializing and influencing people a while back (well only the first half of the book) but the gist of it is that people are naturally self centered and love to talk about themselves. You just pick up on what they want to talk about and get them to talk about it. You act interested, smile, and if the conversation lulls you throw them a line to get them talking some more, then dip. They'll feel like they're bonding with you when you're really not and they'll like you; it won't even take but 5 minutes of your time.

It's how I socialize at work. No one knows anything about me but I know everything about them.

I should go back and finish that book. If I can remember the title lol

maybe you ain’t kissing enough a*s or brown nosing enough. This how you get promoted, too bad you aint a girl you could have open your legs on a happy hour to a superior and get a promotion a week later.

jk bro. that’s up to if u wanna get promoted many different ways.

this is life some people you can messsd with on a certain level others you gotta leave them be. especially if they are superior in your job. Im a very bold person i dont give a damm if someone has higher tittle than me at my job. ill still proably say some bs to thier face and not thier backs. Aint no coward.

i recently did a job interview with enterprise cause i needed a job cause i had left my amazon job back in nj. the manager was some white dude. he seemed weird body language was off. he posed me a question like where do you see yourself in enterprise cause the postion i applied for stupid entry level “car washer for $9” im told him i plan on strating as car washer and move myself up to sales and than transtion in the IT department once i finish my degree, especially my computer/electircal engineering degree. the dude was weird about how me a black guy who has a job experience with major companies like google/amazon and best buy would want to wash cars . im like in my head yo it’s better nothing. alot my friends started at entry level bull crap pay jobs and are now bankers and pharmaceutical reps. im sure i can make something out of nothing. but he seem weird though in my head cause his body language as a interviewer was off so i kinda knew i wasnt gonna get the job. didnt really want it but i was settling for anything cause i just moved to texas. I probably would have snuffed the dude if he came at me sideways as a coworker good thing they didn’t move forward with job offer, and i found a way better job here in texas. hopefully i can go back to amazon and pursue my carrer as goals engineer or do something in IT.
