Definitely lol. After KD bounced, when PG re-upped OKC was on cloud 9

As a Sonics fan, I support any time OKC looks stupid

Didn't they declare every day Russell Westbrook day when he signed that contract right after KD bounced?

There was a whole thread on this is general somewhat recently. Something like "How rich is too rich" or "how much money is enough?"

I think it was cosmiccoffee9 cosmiccoffee9 who started it.

I mean, I definitely feel like there is no one on this planet who has earned the proportionate share of societal influence and resource control that one billion USD provides at this time, but this ain´t that as far as I can see.

arguments against player salaries always ignore that in the ecosystem of sports, THERE IS NO LEAGUE without the players, the talent, the workers...I always say it could be argued that a LeBron James is vastly underpaid.

how many jerseys has that man sold? how many sneakers? how much intentional travel to Cleveland, Ohio?

obvio that´s the extreme case, but players can draw as much revenue as museums and convention centers.

...and that´s before we start talking about network TV content, fantasy sports, casino betting, etc.

the players GENERATE this entire economy, this completely nonessential business environment.

what bothers me about billionaires in the real world is that they draw a disproportionate share of benefit from the efforts of others...so even using sports as a microcosm of life, athletes should probably be making MORE.

Why do you think someone’s income has to have a correlation to their societal influence?
