I can't see that happening. Too many people still pay with cash.
Stores would lose too much customers if they won't allow them to pay cash.
They do have those machines that accept bills, a store in my area doesn't have cashiers anymore.
You scan your own items and pay by cash or credit into the machine.

Exactly, but people use the cell phone cuz it's faster to read. Believe it or not there are still plenty of grown !$% people who can'tread a clock quickly.
