whats even worse was youre comments about some players in UAAP thread. i know that you just want to voice out youre opinions but some of them cross the line..

i know that youre UAAP fan and maybe you base youre comments on what you see on tv, but when the players were off the court and youre not in the basketball community then you have no idea what they are doin specially if you don't know them personally.

I couldn't agree more with HEART and HUSTLE.

We have to move on and get back to the more important and productive threads. It is always better to be part of the solution than the problem. This is water under the bridge now and so we must all strive to make this online community a better place for everyone, oldies and newbies alike. Let's forgive, forget and learn from this. IMO, that's the mature and best way of handling a squabble like this.

If we continue to pass judgement and lash out on the guy, it does not make things any better. It will just further fuel the hate in this thread and encourage others to be condemnatory and judgmental and that's usually the cause of all misunderstandings. We should never assume other people's motives.

That's my opinion and I can only hope other can also look at things from that point of view. Thanks

I, for one, am for forgiveness and all that. But there are some things that you cannot just sweep under the rug. We cannot just let people like this get away with just a slap on the hand. For me, threatening a wife and children, even if they are not yours, is something not to be taken lightly, even if it was made under a sudden burst of emotions. We should let everybody know that we do not tolerate such acts here.

Yes, the problem has been fixed, the ban has been made. But we should not forget this, we should always remember it and let it be a guide for ALL of us.

^^ Agree with you feathertouch. I think what happened to guy sends a clear message what members are going to be subject to if the rules are clearly violated and violated repeatedly. Well, all we have to remember really is the ROC and abide by it and things will be fine.

The threats came after the ban was served though and that thing is a totally different story not to mention it's none of our business really. That's between him and the moderator. He can say anything he wants but he knows he will be responsible and accountable for it someday. What I meant about forgetting is this whole thing about SAMP which is making this discussion very subjective and condemnatory which should not be the case. I firmly believe NO ONE, yes NO ONE has the right to judge or interpret the motives and intentions of anybody else. That's precisely the reason why there are rules. So nothing is subject to interpretation. Everything is in black and white and all actions are based on that.

To be objective about this, a member made a mistake of violating the ROC one too many times and for that he got banned. That's what the violation warranted and it is a fair ruling in my opinion. Sentence handed down, case closed.

That's really all there is to it as far as everybody else (net of the moderator) is concerned. Nothing more nothing less.

yeah, i've seen those pics before.. i actually wanted to post a link of those pics here because they are hilarious.. but i thought that the guy may be an NTer (which i later discovered to be SAMP) and he might get offended if i did..

anyways, threatening kingcrux's family just because of him getting banned is wrong.. what an irony.. he claims that this is just a forum but he got mad as hell when he got banned from it..

SAMP, be mature man.. Kingcrux just did his job and what he did was right.. What did his family ever do to you, man? that's just wrong.. we should be getting along in this forum..

^^^ To be quite honest, he is not my friend but I am glad to hear this.

It's always good to see someone admit a mistake and make things right by apologizing. It takes both humility and maturity to do that and it's not always easy.

^^^^^ The guy has already apologized. I am pretty sure he did not mean what he said. In one of my posts in this thread, I did show concern by objectively looking at the matter as well as the merits of the case and suggesting a course of action that would make things right. The natural tendency really is to be mad at him and scorn him. I also have that tendency but I figured if I did what was natural, it really would not make things better.

Whether or not he actually read my post is really not important anymore. I am just happy he apologized. If everyone in this thread condemned him and passed judgment on him, I think he would be too insulted and embarassed to even think about asking forgiveness. Despite what he has done, I have utmost respect for him for apologizing.

I always TRY to look at the good side of people and I can only hope others also do.

I hope you read my previous posts on this thread though so you would understand better where I am coming from.

What happened to him is a clear testament that no one is above the ROC and the message was conveyed quite clearly and convincingly. The learning is clear. If you violate the ROC and don't heed the warning of the mods, you will get banned. Or let me put it in a positive way. Just abide by the rules and always be respectful and never assume the motives of people and you will have a long and memorable stay here at NT Pi. That is what we all have to keep in mind. It does not have to be about the guy. I am just encouraging objectivity here since based on my experience, that's normally the best way to handle and rectify things with people we don't have personal relationships with.

I agree that forum members need to have more concern for fellow members. Problems arise and will continue to arise if members still think that policing the forum is just the role of the mods.

I have no problem judging people, even if I do not know them personally, when you have their actions as a basis for such judgement. It is judging people who have not done anything (good or bad) that should not be judged. I say members should continue to show how they feel about such acts. For one, I think this guy would not have apologized if he saw that people did not react in a manner like most of us did in this thread. "Hey, they do not care. It must be just okay."
