TIL - There are 2 different Rugby sports and Aussie Rules is completely different

Crazy.

I always swore there was 1 big rugby sport and then in Australia there another version called “Aussie Rules”.

come to find out there are 2 Rugby codes one is traditional “Rugby Union” then there is a faster paced one “Rugby League” and there a completely different sport called “Australian Rules Football” that’s not even rugby, but a completely different sport.

Basically I thought it was one sport called “rugby” but it’s in fact 3 different ones.
