Whats the difference between idolizing them and idolizing a rapper?
He's done A LOT more than just design sneakers

This dude is not just any designer, he's a modern day Picasso for footwear and an all around good person.  If I have to explain that then your definitely on the wrong message board.  BTW who tuned in for this historic interview?

I missed it. Episode 198? I didn't even know this OSD thing existed. Will download later.
EDIT ~ Listening to it right now... fascinating Huarache story...

Found it interesting that they were going to call the Air Raid the Air Jack because they were so hot someone would want to jack you for them lmao! The XI's too, about how the XI was influenced by a Japanese baseball shoe. Sinner you need to join

I think appreciating designers are just as justifiable as appreciating anyone else's talents out there.

Tinker not only designs sneakers but buildings... gadgets and such. His designs also tell stories and until the late Jordan's were some of the best original designs ever. Innovation isn't quite his bag but it doesn't need to be... he has engineers for that.

However other designers are innovative with the design of their footwear. Michael Ditullo and Jason Mayden as well as some others...

I'd much rather follow the life and works of a designer than the athlete for which he designs for. More layers to them and what they do.

Don't recall any cross trainer stories, when asked which shoe he didn't design but wish he did, he replied the Foamposite One.  Also, you size 10.5's can dream of one day owning a pair from Tinkers personal collection (thats his size).  Wally, you definitely need to join the OSD discussion every wednesday and share that passion for trainers.  Here is the link to listen to the interview (you can also download it.)

Thanks. I'll see what I can do in regards to participation.
The 25th anniversary of the AT1 is upon us, and sadly it all may be overshadowed by the air max 87 (1).. I can't let that happen lol

pretty interesting interview, liked what he said about Kobes, the large size models, as well as the Huaraches

Since everyone is yackin about me sayin that Tinker is my idol. I've always wanted to be a sneaker designer and who did i look up to for inspiration? Tinker Hatfield. Your idol can be anyone you want.
