He's not gonna enter a car show or audio contest so I don't see the point for a nicer setup. Unless he rolls with his trunk open.
I would've put in a double din unit instead. Ditch the chromies.

My opinion on this is, that it's a waste. I prefer saving that money and upgrading the whole car with time. People spend thousands of dollars on rims, stereo, tuning etc, with that cash I'd rher get an Audi...
