To those pursuing a career in entertainment: How is it going?

Moved down to Los Angeles 4 months with my brother to do our thing out here.  Our thing being stand-up comedy and music.  My parents weren't ecstatic about our decision, but they saw the passion, they saw we had college degrees, they saw that we'd get jobs down here and they sent us off with their blessings.  
How's it going for y'all? Whether you're trying to be a rapper, actor, comedian, writer etc. I'm curious to see how your experiences are going so far.
