The Chargers have reportedly made LaDainian Tomlinson a "final offer" in negotiations to restructure his contract. The Chargers have put him in aposition where he can either accept the offer or play elsewhere in 2009. Beat writer Kevin Acee said that "every indication I had gotten privately fromthose who know Tomlinson was that he was gone." The decision is now in LT's hands.

Sources: Saints Interested In Tomlinson
Sources close to the situation have informed me that the New Orleans Saints are "looking closely" at San Diego Chargers running back LaDainianTomlinson. The Saints would have a "high level of interest" if the Chargers were unable to come to terms on a new deal with Tomlinson.
Tomlinson has spent all eight years of his NFL career in San Diego. He rushed for 1,110 yards and racked up 12 total touchdowns in 2008. Last season was thelowest yardage output of his career.
