Are they confusing dirty with over-agressive? I mean some players give hard fouls in the tradition of Oakley/Mahorn, some try to intentionally hurt players like Bowen, and some just play over-agressive like Nocioni or Perkins. I wouldnt say Kobe's hooking and using elbows to get passed defenders is dirty but just cheating and not getting caught.
