They look great in pictures, but when you see them in person, they’re very underwhelming if you owned the originals. It’s like they put in the same half-assed effort into what was supposed to be a GS shoe (trash materials), and then decided “Hey, let’s release them in adult sizes too!”

No idea where you got that idea but it's the complete opposite. There's not a single person doing cleaning and restoration work that isn't using mink oil as a conditioner for nubuck, suede and leather.
The first thing I do with any pair of shoes I get in is give them a spray. So 300+ pairs later I can confidently say that is hogwash.

These discounts got us jumping for joy to pay what was essentially retail in 2013... Nike executed their plan beautifully

Tbf the price of almost everything has gone up significantly since 2013.
That said, also to tbf, these should have been on par materials quality wise as 2013s, which they don't seem to be.

SNKRS order came in! Quality of materials and padding on these are superb
Hitting my pair with mink oil a few rounds and then they will be ready for the toes.
I noticed the back of the shoe is darker than the toe box. The toe boxes on most pairs look very dull and ashy so heads up.
