Everyone make their predictions here..... The Raptors will go 31-51 this season and get another high lottery pick. The East is much stronger than it was the past 2 seasons(Cavs, Pacers, Nets, Pistons, Miami are all good) and the Raptors wont be able to keep up with them. My main concern is if they can re-sign Bosh this off-season. He'll be offered a max. contract but he may want to leave if he wants to win. Basically this team will suck for atleast another 2 seasons. That's right.....playoffs in 2008. Once Rose, Alvin Williams, MoPete, Mike James, Aaron + Eric Williams get off the books our GM(hopefully not Sadcock) will have MILLIONSSS to play around with and hopefully the core of the team will remain in tact(Villineuva, Graham, Bosh). Right now our team is one of the most economically inefficent teams in the NBA |I : -Rose is getting paid $14 million a season to take all the shots and avg. 18 ppg on a crappy team -A. Williams is getting paid $7 million to warm the bench with his bum knee -MoPete is getting paid $5 million to be an inconsistent 6th man -Mike James is just a temporary pg until the Raptors actually draft one next year -Who knows what Aaron and Eric are getting paid but I can tell you THEY DO NOT WANT TO BE HERE and we should place them on waivers.

I was actually pleasantly surprised about last nights game, the fact that they were competitive until the last 20-30 seconds. Calderon really impressed me, Graham was alright, Villanueva was decent too. I think Calderon and M. James are good point guards that push the ball and make decent decisions (Unlike Skip last yr). We had a very good chance to win this game, but when you miss 5 good looks at a 3 point shot within the last minute of a game.. You cant expect to win.. not in this league anyway. Overall, I thought the Raps moved the ball well, took care of the ball (for the most part) and had some decent offensive possessions. However, their interior defense was atrocious and they did not defend the pick-n-roll well at all (partially because their big men involved did not switch properly or fast enough). I want to see some combinatoin of Morris and Jalen and even Eric and Aaron Willams traded at the deadline for a bigman or atleast expiring contracts so that maybe we can make a move for a guy like Nene. The addition of Villaneuva doesn't seem all that odd anymore, when you break down what Babcock has done it almost makes sense he drafted a C, PF, SF, SG, and a PG Haffa Villaneuva Bosh<---lets face it hes too small to play PF Joey Graham Jose Calderon we just have to wait to see who pans out and try to fill the holes with draft picks and making moves with veteran contracts like the Williams and Rose. that game was intense, I'm glad I went and I'm glad I've got another 9 games out of my 10-pack to see; hopefully Mitchell will eventually decide that the rooks are the future and will play more of Calderon/Joey/Bosh/Villa.
