This is why I hate people asking for trade opinion.
Your valuation on a pair of shoes could be different from mine.

To me, those XIIIs are as good as trash. They shouldn't be released to public.
OG color > Retro+ color, ALL DAY.
Apparently, those XIIIs could put you in a dilemma.

If you ask me, I wouldn't trade it, not even with $200 extra.
    Moreover, his shoes aren't DS.

I'd trade IX's for XIII's all day everyday and twice on Sunday.

Go check them out and see how you feel. I'm not a huge fan of the Altitude's, but I wouldn't go as far as to say that they are trash.
It could be a good deal. Just make sure they are legit.

I just looked at some pics of the Altitude XIII's and they aren't bad. I'd rock 'em.
If they are indeed in great condition, you could be getting the better deal.
It all depends on what shoes you prefer though.
If you bought the IX/XIV CDP specifically for the IX's because they are one of your grails,
then maybe you shouldn't let them go so soon.

Then pull the trigger, buddy. IX's are nice, but not nice enough to own 2 pairs of the same colorway.

If it counts for anything, Jordan never balled in any IX's.

If you referring "balled" as in play a game in the NBA, it's partially true.
Mike didn't wear any OG color IX in any NBA game.
He just wore them in practice on the first come back from retirement, the one I posted above.

But if you think that he didn't wear any IX in the league, you are wrong.

    Prove me wrong. [IMG]

I actually didn't know he wore them in his 2nd comeback.
They are retros though, and I guess what I could have said is that MJ never wore the IX's for the full course of a season like the other shoes.
He wore plenty of retros while playing for the Wizards, like the True Blues (which you already know of course).
It is fair to say that he never did anything memorable wearing the IX's, unless you count his baseball stint as memorable.
What I'm trying to point out to jazz145 is that this is a good trade if the Altitudes are in great condition.
The 2002 IX's are better quality than the CDP's anyway.

I'm not doubting your trade opinion; everybody has their own unique opinion.
You're a retro+ head. On the other hand, I'm not. That simply explains our totally different opinion.

    BUT, get your facts right.
"MJ never wore the IX's for the full course of a season like the other shoes."?
Now, explain to me this picture:

FYI, he wore this in a couple of games during that season.
Unless, you're trying to pull the same trick again, Mike didn't wear XIIs for the whole season too.
I know my facts, do you know yours? Welcome to the shoe game, buddy.

First of all, no, I am not a retro+ head. I like mostly OG colorways, but even some OG colorways are not that great.
I do like some of the retro+ colorways that were done right.
Secondly, okay you got me with the XIV's. He only wore those in the 1998 NBA Finals.
However, he did do something memorable in those shoes.
Seriously though, what is this? The battle of sneaker wits? Why are you so confrontational?
Do you pride yourself by displaying your sneaker knowledge? Does your knowledge extend beyond sneaker facts?
"I know my facts, do you know yours? Welcome to the shoe game, buddy."
??? For real, what a worthless thing to have an ego about.

First of all, your act of defense on the retro+ color did not convince me that you are not a retro+ head.
LOL. Again, this is a matter of two different opinions. I think you are one; you think you are not. End of discussion on this part.

Secondly, I did not argue with you about Mike's memorable moment with IXs.

"What is this"? This is none of what you listed. Not battle of sneaker wits too.
This is my act of showing you to show me some respect.
I showed you respect, and I expect you to do the same.
You don't have to try to insult my intelligence by spitting this sentence out:

I said what I said, regarding knowing your facts right, because you tried so hard to correct me without knowing the things well.
First, you tried to correct me by saying Mike didn't wear IXs in any NBA games.
Second, you tried to correct me by saying IXs were not worn in a full season like other shoes.
Obviously, you were trying to save your own pride by trying to attack mine.
As conclusion, show your manner, boy.

    Now, grammar time.

    1. "Then explain this picture to me (this wording seems to flow better):"
Now or then could be used in this sentence. Flow, or sound, does not really prove that you have good language structure.
It only shows where do you come from.

    2. "FYI, he wore these (plural) in a couple of games during that season. "
You used "these" to refer to the shoes.
I used "this" to refer to the pair. Read this out loud:
FYI, he wore this (pair) in a couple of games during that season.

    3. My mistakes were "opinions" and "unless".
So, make sure all your corrections , indeed, correct the right mistakes next time.
I don't blame you for correcting my, some, grammar mistakes. [IMG]
Well, that's the only thing that you can correct me on this thread anyway. Good day!

I will admit that you had me with all the sneaker facts. I was wrong in trying to dodge my way out of being proven wrong.
However, I think you know what I meant when I said that he didn't play basketball in the IX: that he did not play in the IX like he would have
    due to early retirement.

"It is fair to say that he never did anything memorable wearing the IX's, unless you count hisbaseball stint as memorable."
This comment was not intended to be insulting, but I see how it can be interpreted that way. It was meant to be more of a joke, and I meant"you" as generally everybody.

As far as my grammar corrections go, they were all correct. All of them. I will not go there though because it was a last ditch effort on my part to one upyou on something.

"your act of defense on the retro+ color did not convince me that you are not a retro+ head."
I will only say this one more time: I am not a retro+ head. I own four retros, and out of those four, only one is retro+ colorway.

"Welcome to the shoe game, buddy."
    "show your manner, boy."
I do not take kindly to your attempts to patronize me. The first comment triggered a negative reply from me.
Secondly, only rednecks and white supremacists call people "boy." You should cut that out as soon as you can.

"This is my act of showing you to show me some respect.
I showed you respect, and I expect you to do the same."
I respect your knowledge and all the help you give in this section. I often use your price guide as a reference.
I respect you in that sense. However, you exude a certain arrogance when it comes to sneaker questions and knowledge.
I have sensed it quite often in your manner of answering questions. For this, I will never quite respect you personally. Never.
It does not surprise me that you dodged these questions: Why are you so confrontational?
Do you pride yourself by displaying your sneaker knowledge? Does your knowledge extend beyond sneaker facts?
So that's all I have to say really. Adieu, mademoiselle.

Sure, if you think your grammar corrections were ALL correct, that's fine.
You and I both know what's going on. [IMG]
    You think you're not a retro+ head; I think you are a retro+ head.
This is just a difference in opinions. How was that so hard to understand?

Patronized you? Let me get this straight. I came in here, gave OP my honest opinion.
Then, you came in and left a negative comment because of my honest opinion?
Then I patronized you because of your negative comment? So, everything was my fault? INTERESTING!
BOY, grow up. That's all I'm saying to you for now.

You could have just ignored my opinion, or my "Michael in White/Black-Red IXs" picture.
I ignored your disagreement on "wouldn't go as far as to say that they are trash".
    It's as simple as that.
I don't care if you hate me or despise me for being an arrogant douche bag, or for whatever reason that pops out of your mind first.
But as long as I talked to you in a appropriate manner, I expect you to gave me the same treatment.
You don't have to go too far by saying "...unless you count his baseball stint asmemorable.".
You and I know that it's BS. The only person who talked about MJ wore IXs in NBA is me. You were obviously replying to me.
So don't tell me that you were referring to everybody. I don't buy that. Nobody buys that.

I avoided "Why are you so confrontational"?
BOY, I didn't. Read again. Let me help you.

The picture with MJ wearing the White Black Red IX's is not from AFTER he came back from retirement(the 1st time).

It was from BEFORE he retired.

I believe taken during the 92-93 playoffs.

MJ wore the 'Last Shot' XIV in the Finals only.

The sentence is bold means: neither it's a battle of sneaker wits, nor being so confrontational.
This is a way of mine to remind you to show me some respect while you talk to me.
I thought the "too" in italics might clarify that. [IMG]
Your joke, obviously, is not funny and proves that you confronted me first. End of discussion.

I take pride in sharing my knowledge to those who asked questions.
I would share if I could. I'm a human being; I'm not perfect and there are things that I don't know.
I don't take pride on shutting down a BOY and feel stupid later on after wasting my time killing off an easy prey.

    PS:
I heard three "BOY"s in this video. I didn't see any rednecks, or whites. [IMG]
Do yourself a favor, stop embarrassing yourself.

All right, man. This has been a tremendous waste of time and thought arguing with you.
I already said you were right with the sneaker facts, and you were also right that I tried to argue with you without knowing the facts so well.
But nothing more. Don't call me "boy", FOB.
"This is a way of mine to remind you to show me some respect while you talk to me."
You are obviously way too high on yourself. I don't know who you think you are, but you are not a sneaker god.
You will get no such respect if you demand it in this manner.

jazz145, Do whatever makes you happy, man. If you want 2 pairs of white/black IX,then keep them.
They are nice shoes. If you wanna trade it up and expand your collection, then trade it up.
It's your choice and your choice alone. Good luck.
