Been having troubles with my computer lately and planned to Format soon, just wasn't expecting to do it today. I was able to get all my music and it'sfolders on an external, I just never got to save/export my iTunes library/playlist.

I don't necessarily need the music off my ipod, I just need the playlists/library (3,000 songs all in order, I do not want to have to go through all mygigs of music to put it together again) with the same directory as before (if possible?) I'm going to save the folders in the same spot as I had it, so itrecognizes where the song is.

Please tell me this is possible lol, any help is GREATLY appreciated.

Cliffnotes: Need to get my iPod library back into iTunes on my computer.

if you want your playlists you'll probably have to dl a program that imports playlists and play counts

You can also just "show hidden files"

Songs will be broken up into Files and Folders with 4-letter names. Just drag everything over. Once the transition happens the ID3 tags are restored...

    HTH...

Thank you, someone else also recommended this to me, doing it now. Hopefully it works the way I want it to and my iTunes library is back to normal.
