TWIN PEAKS to return in 2016

I was so hyped all week after discovering this show a couple weeks back

Tonight may very well be the night Showtime died. Can't believe I talked people into watching that with me

Yeah I watched Season 1, then 2, then the movie in the span of a week. Then binge watched this new season and have loved it. Read about theories daily.

No real wrapping my head around that episode though. Just wasnt good imo. Maybe if it wasnt so hyped prior I'd be more meh to it overall

*deleted next part cause I can see NT kids being upset*

Did Lynch just really do that?.?.

What did I just watch... was that the birth of the creature in the glass box? That's about the only theory I can make of that episode... that has to be one of the most bizarre and abstract episodes I've ever seen on TV, even by Twin Peaks standards...

Ep 8 was probably the most incredible episode of television ever broadcast. I can totally see ppl being "WTF" - but it was absolutely the origin story for the entire TP mythology, and the most daring 60 minutes any major network has ever allowed to be broadcast.

1) The A-bomb test ruptured time & space, escorting the Dugpas into our world

2) "The Experiment" from the glass box that killed the 2 horny kids in NYC was birthed from the blast

3) BOB was belched out by that Experiment

4) The Giant gave Laura Palmer the ability to combat/counteract BOB

5) The Dugpas meet at the convenience store referenced in FWWM

6) The Dugpas REALLY want Evil Coop to stay alive

I'm really hoping DL actually gives us a "happy" ending to this story with Good Coop winning the day against Evil Coop, but I was thinking last night he never really goes that way (TP seasons 1-2, Mullholland Dr., Lost Highway, Eraserhead, Elephant Man, etc.). I think the only semi-happy ending I've ever seen from him has been "The Straight Story". So unless he's suddenly become a softy, I gotta start bracing myself for the worst, lol.

Finished the OG series, should I jump into S3 or watch Fire Walk with Me first?

Lol you went Binge Mode huh? Id watch s2 eps 1, maybe 2, then the last 2..def watch last ep of season 2 atleast so u kno where this new season picks up...i didnt care for s2 at all

Fire walk with me was a dud as well but explains a few things i suppose

Cannot wait for tonights episode. On one hour early too! Right before Thrones

How do you like it Chris

Since this is an 18 hour movie I will wait until it's over to give a well rounded opinion. In the mean time I will say the return has done a good job keeping me interested.

^ i have been watchin the new one without watching the old series and im enjoying it.

lynch's mind is just insane. and the random cameos are kinda of hilarious

Do I need to see the first run of Twin Peaks to get the new series?

Its been discussed a lot in here tho i get being afraid to look back n maybe hit spoilers lol...

Watch season 1...only 8 eps its quick. Season 2 id only watch ep 1 and the last 2 eps. ...season 2 is trash

Skip fire walk w me unless u are ok blowing 2 hours

I decided to jump straight in without watching S1-2 or the Movie.
The women in this shoe are all great characters.
I just realized (on ep9) that David Lynch is FBI Director Deputy Cole.
One minute this Series is amazing.
The next minute I want to punch Lynch in the face.
That episode 6-7 really started to bring some things into focus for me as far as what is going on in this World.
Then episode 8 comes in and says "get your thinking cap on" and makes sure that I finish the episode saying nothing other than "WTF did I just watch"

I am not familiar (Haven't watched) with anything Lyunch has done other than Mulholland Dr.
I'm not sure if I like him a little, a lot or if I completely despise him.

On to episode 9.

sidenote: The way folks put up with Dumb Dougie is hilarious
Namoi Watts kills her role as that complacently dumb and methodically naive wife. I love her character. The way she like stomps around in a fit when she walks or talks. :pimp:
