Getting hit hard can knock off your equilibrium and causes your legs to get weak and make you feel out of it and off balance, but it's mostly ego, pride, and a lack of fighting skills that causes ppl to keep marching forward even tho they're vulnerable. Best thing to do is keep your distance and hands up untill you regain your balance.
