visiting vancouver...need some advice

whatsup canada NTers. I'm planning a trip out to Vancouver in a few weeks and need some help with where to stay. Anybody know of any good and cheap hotels to stay at (I'm hoping for less than 100 USD a day)? And also, what neighborhoods would y'all recommend me staying in? Lastly, is it easy to get around without a car?
