LET’S MAKE BLACK HISTORY!
Introducing the new limited-edition Harriet Tubman Card in 2020 to celebrate Black History Month!

Harriet Tubman not only escaped slavery, she made nineteen missions to bring 300 others, including family and friends, to freedom. She also served as an armed scout for the Union Army and was an activist in the struggle for women’s voting rights. Given her profound impact on American history, she deserves to be placed on the $20 bill.

We have the power to place Harriet Tubman on a global payment device in celebration of Black History Month and in tribute to the many others who freed enslaved people. This symbol of Black empowerment in 2020 will pave the way for the Harriet Tubman design on the $20 bill.

The Harriet Tubman Visa Debit Card is the first limited-edition card offered by OneUnited Bank and will only be available in 2020. The card image is from the painting “The Conqueror” by the internationally acclaimed artist Addonis Parker. If you obtain the Harriet Tubman Card in 2020, you can carry the card design for life.

In addition to its limited-edition Harriet Tubman Card, OneUnited Bank will promote the “Right to Vote” theme for Black History Month to elevate the #BankBlack and #BuyBlack Movements to the next level and beyond. For more information visit www.oneunited.com/HarrietTubman.

Black bank that chose to put a Black historical figure on their cards, throwing up the Wakanda sign.

The Black bank was undoubtedly relying on 2 ideas:
1. the Wakanda salute would get people talking
2. Black people couldn’t be outraged because.... it’s a Black bank behind this.

The bank knew exactly what they were doing, and us discussing it right now means that it worked. Salute to them.

discussing something cause of it being an actual good thing
and it looking foolish are 2 different things

I’m not saying it’s good or foolish. Just a marketing ploy that went well.

You all gonna slander/cancel a Black bank?

Why don’t we celebrate Assata Shakur more? Mutulu Geronimo Pratt? Huey P Newton? Bobby Seales? Fidel Castro? Malcolm X?

RBG!

They always wanna talk about slaves to us as if that’s where we started. Talk about Nat Turner, Crispus Attucks first to die for America.

Henrietta Lacks is probably the one that should be celebrated most, why don’t they teach us about her??

FOH man! I’m sick of this bs.
