Thats a Wallaby.

Im in Tasmania right now, a state of Australia off the southern coast. Wallaby’s are just out and about like that yes, as they are depending on where you are in Australia, and Kangaroos too, depending where you are. If youre in the city its rare to see one, i chased a giant 2m male off in my car once in the city after he wondered in to get him away from people.

Its guess it would be just like a bear or a deer wondering around near LA for instance.

Same same.

Excuse my ignorance....I struggle telling the difference between wallaby’s and kangaroos.

Chasing either is nuts though :lol:

Googles your friend.

Wallaby’s are small, up to about your knee or just above. I gave that little guy a little head scratch and he loved it.

Kangaroos big, up to about 2 metres tall and ripped to shreds, they can be aggressive, like a fight, and can gut you.

In captivity you can approach them and touch them. In the wild youd be wise to stay back.
