If you discredit comedy as a genre because there are a lot of trash shows out there that dont challenge you or make you think, discredit TV itself. CBS should be enough to disqualify dramas as a whole with all the trash on there. Shows like Arrested Development do make you think through subtle references, self or otherwise, and jokes that aren't forced with a laugh track or bashing you over the head to the point that it insults your intelligence.
