well the thread is for personal classics but for others I don't think it has to be old, just really really good or a works that pushed the boundaries of the genre. I remember ppl were callin Cuban Linx the greatest hip-hop LP ever made by like 1998-1999 & they had a point.

^^^ Yeah, I think there can be “instant classics” and would say the 5 albums I listed in this thread all meet that description. (Yes, they’re all like 30 years old now, but I also thought they were classics when the 1st dropped ).

Me Against The world and Makaveli probably my fav two albums ever, ANY genre. But I’ve suffered from lots of mental health issues lately, so The Diary might be the one I relate to the most (at least right now). What an album. I Seen A Man Die rips my heart strings. So does Mind Playin Tricks 94’.
