Student Affairs Administration in Higher Education

?

- anyone heard of it? whats the expected pay? do you need more than a masters to make real money??

- i have a relative making 30K with a masters in this. everything i looked up says 'dead end career', am i wrong?

u could be in charge of the student affairs/housing dept im guessing. not exactly sure but the ppl at my school who have these admin positions have it madecause they get to interact and plan stuff with students so it makes their job fun

30K from a 4 year degree!?! You mine as well use that degree as a mouse pad.

i'm a student service rep. @ my school (higher ed).. i make good money & i'm still a college kid.

it sounds like a similar title so just check and see what the job entails. they usually give fancy titles to the most simple of positions, so don't letthose fancy words scare you. lol however the term "administration" implies some sort of experience may be needed.

hope i could be of help!

EDIT: oh wow. 30k with a masters? dude... wow.

no thread jack but.....what could you do with a computer information systems degree?

salary depends highly on what school you work for. Ours start at 44-52 with a BA and then the school pays a good portion of any of their further education andthey can work up to higher administration from there.

- this dumb !#+ broad. i told her before she went to school to look into computers, she did, then she didnt want to be that far away from home. so she switedit to nursing. then out the blue switched it to this BS.

- id figured since she had a masters she was making good money until she sent me a message talking about getting a better paying job and going from 28K to 30Kbeing all excited and %!$@. so i looked it up and was confused as hell.

- im like man, i have to be missing something. then i thought well maybe its one of those careers where you need a doctorate (like psychology) to make money.

- sice we have so many college students on here figured id ask.
