What is wrong with my iPod?

It doesn't turn on and it just says "Please wait... Low Battery." It's been on the charger for like 2 hours now and it still says that.I've tried resetting it but nothing happens.

What should I do?

How old is it, maybe the battery is at the end of its life.

It's about a year old... I hardly ever use it so I don't think the battery would be shot.

Most likely a battery issue. Do you keep it in places that either get extremely hot or cold? That can shorten the life of the battery also.

My iPod is 2+ years and still goin strong

Fix it and if they can't fix it I think they can get you a brand new one for some money

battery malfunction..same problem with me . it think it burned the battery had to get a new one..smh
