What's up with all these Cincinnati Reds hats in NY?

I see dozens of kids wearing these fitteds every day. Am I missing something?

1. its a dope hat to wear with black/red cause of the black bill on the red hat

2. bloods tend to wear cinci REDS hats for obvious reasons.

The Cincinnati cap was the hoods fitted of choice in the years prior Pittsburgh's domination. Maybe NY is just late for once? Or maybe it's a gangthing, Richmond CA it's best not to get caught with a Reds fitted on.

I remember back in the mid to late 90's only 2 fitteds you saw in NYC were a Yankee fitted and Cleveland Indians.... Indian fitteds were rampant back inthe day.
