So do you leave tags on all your clothes. When you purchase that item it is technically "part of the" item.
I leave the hologram and size sticker, sometimes I forget to take off the price sticker tho. People been doing this in high school and when I got my first New Era fitted in college it seemed natural to me.
This makes more sense.
You leave it on because you see other people that leave it on.
It may be unnatural to most of you, the first thing I do when I bust out with a new fitted is take all that tags off and bend the brim.

But cmon, most ppl would just assume that your hat is a new era if they see someone wearing a fitted and i doubt they give a damn about if its actually a real new era or not

Yeah, I was kind of wondering this too. I'm more of a take the stickers off type of dude. I de-tag my clothes, and a hat is part of my wardrobe.

thank god SOMEONE knows what they're talking about.
this is wear it comes from....and people took it from watching championship teams celebrate rockin they new championship gear with all da tags still attached on them.

It started as a way of showing your hat was new.......the popping tags culture.......its also started just being the size tag, then it was the hologram and the bar code, then kids started leaving them on for months, then people started selling new stickers...lol.....

^^^Best explanation I've seen in here. I mean I leave the hologram on and I remember those tags on the 90s NBA hats, but those looked fresh. Bar codes = not fresh

For team fitteds, i just leave the small silver rectangular sticker on, the size tag and every other sticker i take off.
i do that as well. I only have the barcode on my Brooklyn Dodger hats so that if folks (my boss) thinks its Boston, ill show them and say Hell No its not, Its Brooklyn.
